If leaving home without your dog is out of the question, we welcome you to vacation with your pet in one of our Gatlinburg cabins and chalets located on Ski Mountain Road. Please reveiw our Pet Policy, and feel free to ask any questions you may have by calling us toll-free at 800-430-3915.
We do not allow cats. We will accept a small dog under twenty-five pounds. We have a $75.00 non refundable pet fee. Guest also assumes financial damage caused by the pet. If we find a pet in a unit that is not a pet friendly unit there will be a $250.00 non refundable fee and/or eviction from the unit. Pets should not be left unattended in a home without being in a kennel. Please use a "pooper scooper" after your pet uses the bathroom. When exercising your dog, please have it on a leash. This is bear country!
Pet-Friendly Travel Tips:
Be sure your dog is wearing a well-fitted collar with current ID tag.
Bring information about your pet with you "just in case." Include a photo, breed, age, sex, description, etc.
Like humans, dogs often suffer minor stomach discomforts due to motion sickness, especially on winding roads through the mountains. Withhold or limit food and water intake prior to traveling.
Bring your crate and practice crating before leaving home. Folding crates are most convenient. Even if your dog behaves beautifully at home, he or she may become very anxious in a new place and cause damage.
If planning to hike, don't forget a bottle of water for your pet.
Bring ziploc baggies for cleaning up feces, and moist wipes or towelettes for wiping muddy paws.
